Olympics opening ceremony set to go ahead in Paris: despite sabotaged French Railways trecks


Just before the Summer Olympic Games torch relay concludes and the opening ceremony begins in Paris today, France’s high-speed train lines were disrupted by “malicious” acts, including arson,  described as “coordinated sabotage” to disrupt travel.
The ceremony will go ahead as planned, despite the attacks. Rain is also threatening to disrupt games festival activities, but no changes have been made to the ceremony plans :Alexis Decalonne, head of MeteoFrance Sport Olympic organizers.

The ceremony will be held along the River Seine, first time in the history of Olympic games. The Parade is also be organize in the river rather in the Stadium.

Due to to this more than 300000 spectators could be participate in the ceramony.  

Rain Forecast models suggest around 15 mm, more than half an inch, of rain could fall during the opening ceremony. The wind will remain light and temperatures will be around 20°C (68°F) in the evening.
